Sikandar Movie Review: When Bhaijaan comes on screen, logic is left behind and big action sequences take over. This has been the pattern of Salman Khan’s films for the last few years. His films are formula based and the audience is already prepared for it. Now Salman’s new film ‘Sikander’ has come on the occasion of Eid 2025. Does this film bring Salman back into the league of content-driven and entertaining films? Let’s find out!
Sikandar Movie Review: Story
The story of the film revolves around Sanjay Rajkot (Salman Khan) and his wife Saisri Rajkot (Rashmika Mandanna). Saisri is busy protecting her husband Raja Saheb (Sanjay) from dangers. But when Sanjay clashes with the son of a rich leader (Satyaraj), things go out of control. After this, Sanjay’s life changes completely and the war of revenge begins.
Sikandar Movie Review: Acting
There is a lot happening in the film, but every subplot is not properly connected. Every character is made to look like a Robin Hood. Sanjay aka Sikandar becomes the messiah of his people, while his wife Saisri, struggling with his neglect, meets a tragic end. Many issues like corruption, politics and oppression are shown in the film, but they are just touched upon.
Salman Khan is hardly moving his body in the action scenes. The lack of emotions is clearly visible on his face. He looks uncomfortable in dialogue delivery. It seems as if Salman, Rashmika and Sharman Joshi are speaking dialogues forcibly.
Although the film is woven around emotions, there is a clear gap between the actors’ performances and the dialogues on screen.
‘Sikandar’ can be a spicy film for those who love big action on Eid , but those who go to the theaters expecting content and a strong story may be disappointed.
