Samsung Galaxy A36 Review: Samsung has launched its new Galaxy A36 smartphone, which is the successor to its previous model Galaxy A35. This new smartphone has some new AI features and slight improvement in display size. Also, the design of the camera module has also been changed, which is now in a vertical pill-shaped layout. Although the design has changed, a slight wobble is felt when the phone is placed on a flat surface. The starting price of this phone has been kept at ₹ 32,999 and at this price it is getting tough competition from brands like Motorola, Nothing, OnePlus and Vivo.
Samsung Galaxy A36: New camera design and colour options
The design of the phone hasn’t changed much, but the new layout of the camera module gives the phone a fresh look. Also, the new Awesome Lavender colour variant looks very attractive and the back panel also has a slight gradient look that looks good in light. The phone also comes with IP67 water and dust resistance, but some competitors are now offering better ratings like IP68 and IP69. Samsung has made the Galaxy A36 lighter than before, making it more comfortable to hold.
Samsung Galaxy A36: 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display
Now talking about the display, the Galaxy A36 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel, which comes with FHD + resolution (2340 x 1080p), 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10 + support. This display is a very strong side of the phone, which provides brilliant colors and deep blacks. Apart from this, the visibility of the screen is very good even in sunlight due to high brightness (1200 nits). The 120Hz refresh rate also gives users a smooth and fluid scrolling experience, which further improves the gaming and video watching experience.
Samsung Galaxy A36: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 performance
Talking about performance, the Galaxy A36 has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which comes with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Although this phone handles everyday tasks like social media, texting, and video calling well, it is not powerful enough for high-end gaming. The camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. Its camera quality is good in daylight, but at night the photo quality can be improved with a manual night mode. Overall, the Galaxy A36 is presented as a good mid-range smartphone, but its competition is also tough.
