‘Reacher’ Season 3 Review: After watching the finale of ‘Reacher’ Season 3, it felt like even though Alan Ritchson has brought life to his character, still at times it felt like just end it now. Especially in that climax fight, where Reacher faces the only person who is bigger than him and half a foot taller than him in all the Reacher novels. In this season, Reacher enters a small town in Maine, where everything seems calm, but the presence of a dangerous villain in the background creates a sensation in the atmosphere. This villain brutally tortures innocent people and kills them in a painful manner.
Rich businessman and son in the clutches of the villain
The twist in the story comes when a rich businessman (Anthony Michael Hall) and his college-going son (Jimmy Berchtold) get caught in the clutches of this dangerous villain. Here the Russian mafia is also engaged in its dirty work and a big arms deal is about to happen. Three federal agents are keeping an eye on this deal and the villain’s henchmen. Meanwhile, Reacher eliminates the criminals in his own style. The film has tremendous action sequences, where people are killed in unique ways and in the end Reacher’s stormy attack is seen.
Susan Duffy-Negli’s amazing action avatar
The show also shows a light romantic chemistry between Reacher and federal agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy). However, all this is shown very quickly and in a makeshift manner. At the same time, Duffy and her senior (Roberto Montesinos) also contribute a lot to the action. Reacher’s old partner Negli (Maria Sten) enters the show, who eliminates the goons one by one. Sten’s screen presence is great and whenever she comes on screen, the show comes alive.
Reacher defeats a giant villain
In the finale, Reacher faces a giant villain (Olivier Richters), who is a Danish bodybuilder in real life. There is a fierce fight between the two, where Reacher gets badly injured, but he does not give up. Finally, he defeats the dreaded villain (Brian Tee). Alan Ritchson has played the character of Reacher with full sincerity, but his character in the show needed a little more energy. Interestingly, after watching the show, now people are eagerly waiting for the spin-off of Negley instead of Reacher, because a different energy is seen in him.
