Google new update: Google has launched a new safety feature for Android users, named ‘Find Fam & Friends’ . This feature is specially designed for the safety of friends and family. Google has first rolled it out on Pixel devices in the March update. In the coming weeks, this feature will be available to all Android users around the world. The special thing is that this feature was introduced in iPhone about two years ago under the name ‘Check-in’.
How will this feature work?
With the help of ‘Find Fam & Friends’ feature, users will now be able to track the location of their family and friends. As soon as a close person reaches the mall, college or office, you will get information about him. Similarly, you will get a notification when he reaches home. This will reduce the worry about the safety of family and friends and there will be no need to ask for location again and again.
New tab will be available in Find My app
Google has integrated this feature in Find My app . Now a new tab ‘People’ will be visible in this app. With its help, users will be able to share live and current location with their friends and family. The person with whom you share the location will see this information in the same app.
Privacy has also been taken care of.
Keeping privacy in mind, Google has given the option to set a time limit in it . That is, the user can decide for how long he wants to share his location. After the stipulated time is over, location sharing will stop automatically. This feature can prove to be very beneficial especially for the safety of children, elderly or people traveling.
